Proud History

Founded in 1865, the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers represents craftworkers in the trowel trades across the United States and Canada including bricklayers, stone and marble masons, cement masons, plasterers, tilesetters, terrazzo and mosaic workers, and pointers/cleaners/caulkers.

Every BAC member is an important part of the Union’s proud

Bricklayers Allied Craftworkers Local #2 New York / Vermont

The B.A.C. represents over 100,000 Masonry and Tile Craftworkers in the United States and Canada.

We at B.A.C. Local #2 supply skilled labor to contractors in 26 counties in New York State.  We have built Northeastern and Central New York from the first bit of concrete foundations to the highest masonry capped roof tops of the largest and most visible projects.

We are a progressive force in building the communities in Upstate New York.  We have a labor agreement with our contractors that guarantees the wages, benefits and working conditions of our members.  Union members elect their representatives who bargain with our contractors as equals.

Our goal is to represent all trowel trade workers who want a bright future and a career with dignity.

If you are working in the masonry trades, we invite you to join B.A.C Local #2 of New York!
